Find your way into the play

Students studying Macbeth, readers discovering Shakespeare for the first time and anyone who would like to understand the play more deeply. Explanations use accessible language, with room to develop more detailed interpretations through your writing.
You can use a printed copy if you prefer. The course also includes the play text: on scene lessons, choose “Read the scene” to open it. Spellings, punctuation and line numbers can vary between editions.

Each writing challenge allows up to five feedback submissions and five follow-up questions. There is also an essay at the end of each act to help you bring your ideas together.
